GRANT ROAD PLANNING TASK FORCE MEMBERS NAMED

The City of Tucson and the Tucson Department of Transportation have named 18 area residents to serve on the Grant Road Improvement Plan Task Force. Members were selected from more than 100 applicants and represent a wide range of community, business, regional, and neighborhood interests.

The Task Force will meet at key decision points during the project, working closely with City staff, members of the public, and consultants to shape the development of Grant Road from Swan Road to Oracle Road. The Task Force will be disbanded after the Mayor and Council adopt the final design and area plans.

The Grant Road Improvement Plan is one of the first major Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) projects approved by voters in May of 2006.
